The goal of the project is to make the legislative process in Georgia more complete, to improve the form of justification of the draft law (explanatory note), which will make it easier for the persons, bodies and society to understand the will of the legislator and the content of the changes. Accordingly, the content of the explanatory note should be closer to the legislation of the EU countries and become more complete and understandable.
The participants of the presentation were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Associate Professor Tamaz Zarandia, who spoke about the importance of the grant project, the role of the Ministry of Justice and the involvement of TSU professors in this process.
The head of the project is Vasil Gonashvili, Associate Professor of the Law Faculty of TSU. TSU Law Faculty Professor Nana Chighladze also participated in the project. Vasil Gonashvili presented a study on the example of 30 European countries, the practice of preparing an explanatory card, its form, features and suggestions that might be interesting for Georgia.
The grant project is financed by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.
The event was attended by Zaur Abashvili, the head of the Department of Law-Making of the Ministry of Justice, professors and students of the Faculty of Law, as well as representatives of other state bodies.
